Hallowed Be Thy Name

"Hallowed Be Thy Name" is an altarpiece to the dark deity of greed and the corrosive effects of big money on all aspects of our society as well as people in their personal lives. Sounds depressing but I've tried to keep my tongue in my cheek, where it belongs. The piece will consist of a triptych of canvases mounted on a single black frame--it will be wall mounted. When assembled it will measure 13' X 6' horizontally. Some extra lighting of the piece would be preferable. Many of the elements on the canvas were created digitally and, as such, will be printed along with lavish hand-painted elements in acrylic. I've spent most of my art career as a commercial artist and illustrator, specializing in book and magazine covers for the last decade. I am a Holland, MI. native now living in Denver. Old friends and family nagged me that I should come back and see the "Grand Rapids ArtPrize" so last year I did. Wow! This year I have determined that I want to be a part of the fun.
