In our darkest moments, voices whisper lies into our ears... "You're not smart enough..." "You're not pretty enough..." "You're not thin enough..." "You're not good enough..." The voices belittle us, tear us down, and chip away at our self-worth. They make us feel tattered, torn, and worthless. This project is a tribute to not only the beautiful teen girls who I work with, but to all girls and women who struggle with the lies and voices, whispering untruths into their ears. It is a collection of the lies each girl struggles with, written herself, on stained and torn paper. The project ends with the truth - "You are enough," followed by a set of black and white portrait photographs of the girls represented.
