Morning Light

Colin Flynn's avatar Colin Flynn

The Winter was particularly hard and long, and I was feeling discouraged as I walked alone. I came upon this scene and the morning light was casting long shadows. I could see the sun's yellow light reflecting back from the surfaces facing the sun and skipping across the stream surface. The feeling I had was that the long Winter was coming to an end, and life would some burst into full bloom. I was encouraged and I had to paint what I felt. I hope by looking at this painting, you are encouraged, too.
