"Into the woods we run" is a collection of wearable art and performance piece. Inspired by a fictional story of four woman during the Salem witch trials, who were sentenced to be hanged at Galos Hill and escape running into the forests of Salem Massachusetts during 1692. Stressed, unfinished, raw, nude, black and wearable are descriptions given to define the looks of the collection. Two dresses are hand painted depicting scenes from the forest with skirts done in a tossed tulle effect. The other two are done using hand cut leather branches appliqued onto draped tulle gowns giving a sense of blending with in their environment. Now to the performance part. The collection will be displayed with four dress forms during the week in a simple and clean look. Then every saturday for two hours the dress forms are replaced by models for a informal fashion show.
