Constellation of Sisters

"Constellation of Sisters" is an arrangement of many of my curved and/or domed jewelry pieces. Some of the domes are necklace pendants or earrings and others are parts of bracelets. The inspiration for this design represents an idea, based on the Pleiades, an open cluster of new stars in Taurus, also known as the "Seven Sisters " . The fabrication techniques utilized in the creation of this constellation involved jewelry soldering, using silver, copper, brass and 14k gold. Other techniques involved in the completion of these works are chasing, repoussé, marriage of the metals, reticulation, oxidation and heat treatment. Some pieces are finished with the addition of gold or silver shotballs and the installation of semi-precious stones. I dedicate this collection to all women, who form a sisterhood. As beautiful individuals, when we come together as sisters, we shine as brightly and gloriously, as a constellation of stars.
