Mackinac Passageways

This is my rendering of Mackinac Bridge combined with Arch Rock. The Mackinac Bridge is the passageway between the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan, spanning the straights of Mackinac which connect Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Growing up in Jenison, Michigan, I was in the Boy Scouts and served at Mackinac Island during the summer. Arch Rock was one of those places I biked to during my free time while serving on the Island. As I recall, it was portrayed as a connection, a "bridge" of sorts, between here and the spiritual realms. Remembering this boyhood tradition, and appreciating the beauty of Mackinac Bridge, the connection between the two became apparent to me. And so I have taken the physical bridge and the spiritual bridge and combined them to create Mackinac Passageways.
