BLOOM BLOOM

Bloom Bloom is an interactive installation predominately made of construction flagging tape and chicken wire. The alternating and undulating plane is suspended from the ceiling. Bloom Bloom is made of weather resistant materials, allowing it to alternate from indoor to outdoor venues. My work explores moments of self-transcendence, where time is slowed down and the outside world is forgotten, a place where the spirit rises and the physical falls. For the viewer this results in a visual feast of color and light. Flashing lights, dancing tinsel and unapologetic fluorescent colors are not only a testament to the beauty of life, but to the ever-encompassing joy. I repurpose, multiply and reposition material found in my world to create a new and fantastic portal for my own and the viewer’s self-transcendence and actualization.
