As John Cage prepared a piano, so playCAGE ravishes a guitar. playCAGE is a huge-scale, fully-interactive Chance Instruction sculpture. Exclusively for ArtPrizeSIX, playCAGE / The Fischer Configuration, at Fish Ladder Park, stretches the six strings of its Fender Baritone Telecaster guitar over 128 feet around the inside and outside of eight, eight foot by eight foot fir two-by-four modules in an L configuration, 24 feet across the base of the Fish Ladder, and 40 feet along the rapids of the Grand River. Please Touch! playCAGE plays well with Others! During performances, playCAGE breaks the primary rule of art museums and galleries. During performances: You May Touch The Art!
