A City in Color

My entry is a 2 dimensional, 12'x8' painting divided into 3 4'x8' sections arranged in a tryptych (meaning it won't be hanging flat on a wall but standing in a shallow "u" shape). The painting is of a young woman painting the color into a gray city. As an artist I am fascinated by the complex angles and shapes of a city that so dwarf the people that both live within it and created it. The question always in my mind is does the creation trump the creator? The answer is no. All of man's creation is a tribute. Therefore, my piece is a tribute to man's creative spirit.
