My Family Photo

"My Family Photo" is the name of this acrylic painting. Every action you make is like a brush stroke making the bigger picture of your life. In this picture the graphite tree is my family tree. It's in rough condition, a little slanted, and twisted. It's the kind of tree that would make you wonder how it got so far, and yet, it is still grows. The mountain is my mother. She has always stood alone. She was very depressed and narcissistic. Now she has pulled herself back into my orbit flowing with life and love for others. My Sister is the blue planet, an illusion. She looks habitable, but she is empty. My Father is the farthest planet out there. He is unique and protective. He is out there fortified and within close proximity. The colors on my planet represent my Husband Adam. He brought life and hope into my bleak existence. Without him my planet would be lifeless. He has also given me hope for the descendants of my family tree. Life can be beautiful. It is just how you look at it.
