Amore mio...ti manco?

Joe Girandola's avatar Joe Girandola

For the ArtPrize Exhibition a new work will be completed for the Auto Fixit Body Shop venue and be installed outdoors. The multi-panel work will be constructed with duct tape and sealed with UV resin. The theme of the work will revolve around an intergalactic love story and feature the Millenium Falcon, Stonehenge, Chewbacca and Han Solo. A previous work is pictured here for the ArtPrize entry as the new work is in progress. This artwork pictured is a portrait of the Taj Mahal completed entirely with Duct Tape. The tape drawing references memory and love lost as the materiality of the tape is evident in the three-dimensional texture that is created on the surface of the drawing. The works following the first image (Amore mio...ti manco) are also all works that are made completely with Duct Tape. In order the titles are: For Your Eyes Only, RC, LTP, H20 Duct(in process), Henged, Babbo...Mi Manchi (in process), Babbo...Mi Manchi.
