The Life of the Party

I've tried my best to use my artistic talents to put a smile on people's faces and I think I have found the best way to do this. As a kid, I picked up the advice somewhere (probably from a cheesy kid's show) that if I was feeling kind of sad and down, that I should put a smile on my face & eventually my inside mood would grow to match what my face was doing. If you can dig down and will yourself to try it, it actually does work. I wanted to take it a step further & create something that would encourage people to make silly faces, theorizing that it would act as a catalyst to a good mood and collectively brighten any setting. My Art will be a gadget that offers a number of silly faces that the viewer will choose at random and whatever face he draws, he will have to recreate (to the best of his ability) for a photo. I plan to travel with my work & have people making faces for photos with the piece in a number of locations & then use the photos also as part of the piece.
