Sacred Hive

Elizabeth Paxson's avatar Elizabeth Paxson

Enter the Sacred Hive, where you will find the "Madonna of the Bees," meet the "Hive Mothers," and experience the sounds of the hive. I chose the honeybee for this work as the central symbol for our connection to the web of the life and the sacredness of the earth. I have also incorporated the sacred feminine (symbolic of mother earth which sustains all life,) in the form of a "Black Madonna" painting. See description of the painting or my website for more information. Bees are now disappearing in huge numbers. Please visit her website: www.annehills.com. , and see her in concert at this venue on Oct. 6. Many thanks also to Ron Elmore, Caitlyn Paxson, Magill Foote, Ron Wilkins, Betsie Withey and Jillian Warner for their support and technical assistance.
