Small Parts - Comfort from 2000 Cups of Tea

"Small Parts - Comfort from 2000 Cups of Tea" is a 10.5 foot x 5.5 foot sculpture constructed with tea bags and light. As an artist, I am interested in the comfort of routine. I create with bags of tea collected from social gatherings with friends. In so doing, I call attention to the importance of connecting with people in my day-to-day life, and how these daily connections offer continuity and security in life. In making this particular piece, I came to realize that these social get-togethers are a small piece of something bigger, but that each small part is as important as the whole it helps to create. I invite you to visit my work at the Fifth Third Bank/Warner Norcross & Judd LLP.
