Innocence and Survival

When we observe the female body, we see beauty, intelligence, strength, determination and even fertility. I do not believe that our first impressions delve beyond superficial observations. As such, I wanted to depict that below the surface, many women also carry elements of darkness that may be hidden to the casual observer. I created Innocence and Survival to tell one such story, displaying in collage form the complexity of a female life from birth to maturity.
