Beautiful Day

My work as an artist is mostly representational with an infusion of color and lots of variations in tones. I work with the constant rhythmic sounds of breaking glass mesmerizing my voyage as art divulges itself. I’m spellbound. I loose time in my own celebration of creating art and allowing my natural instincts to form their own journey with texture and color. I'm drawn to portraits, especially the eyes and always try to capture unique moods. I unite my background in painting and ceramics using my favorite tool, wheeled nippers, hand cutting each piece of glass to resemble my familiar brush strokes. This is my way of capturing reflections of light with materials I use which incorporate a variety of stained glass. I prefer not to grout to allow the glass to capture light reflections.
