I would like to create a sculptural installation for the Ramp Space at UICA for the forthcoming Somewhere Else exhibition during this years ArtPrize. The piece, Flowering Ivy Shoots, is an extension of my current body of work that addresses issues such as; the increasing disconnect of humans from nature, the artificialization of nature and natural spaces, and the chaotic nature of both the man-made and natural world. It will be a metaphor for the over-stimulation and rapid pace of contemporary society through a multi-layered visual effect of mirrors, clear vinyl and the shear number of forms.
