Persian rugs were the inspiration for the red, tone on tone glassing of ‘Satine.’ Her strong architectural lines were built from the waspy waist of her base, which is a simple wooden pillar candlestick. The addition of Lucilia sericata, better known as the common green bottle blow-fly was added for fun so ‘Satine’ wouldn’t take herself too seriously. Mixed Media: Stained glass, vitreous tiles, glass beads, stone beads, & metal - $5,000
